Origin
Opening of the Hotel
The Hotel Plaza Athenée opened in 1913 at the same time as the nearby Theatre des Champs Elysees. The architect was Charles Lefevre.
Different Owners
Since 2000 the Hotel is part of the Dorchester Collection 2011 which is owned by the Sultan of Brunei. The Hotel was entirely renovated in 2000.
