Origin
The Cap Ferrat becomes fashionable at the beginning of the 20th century. King Leopold II of Belgium ownes most of the Peninsula. In 1905 La Baronne Beatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild decedies to build the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.
Opening of the Hotel
In 1908 started the construction of the Grand Hotel du Cap under the initiative of the the Compagnie Hôtelière des Centres de Tourisme Automobile.
