Opening of the Hotel
the Hotel opened in 1830 as "Hotel Cuolon". In 1875 the neighboring buildings were added to the Hotel which was renamed "Hotel de l Europe". The Italian architect Carlo Rossi redesigned the structure of the building.
From 1941-1944 the Hotel was a hospital.
Extensive Renovations from 1989-1991 and reopening as Grand Hotel Europe managed by Kempinski. In 2005 the Hotel changed from the Kempinski to the Orient Express Chain. you can add Info here ...
