One of the guest of honor was the Swiss Lady Nancy Chopard, a well known socialite from Paris photographed every week in the magazine "Point de Vue". Lady Chopard had forgotten to bring Euros with her and all she carried were 50 Swiss Francs, as well as a multi million Dollar Diamond Necklace.
After the party Lady Chopard asked her table neighbor, editor of the "Hotels of the World.com" website, if he could change her Swiss France, so she had Euros to take a Taxi. As he had only Credit Cards on him he accompagnied the Lady to the Concierge Desk for the change.
The Fourseasons Reception Lady asked Lady Chopard if she was Hotel Guest which Lady Chopard denied. "I came to the Bal de Paris ...." In this case we cannot help you .... it is the "Reglementation". After insisting the Fourseasons Reception Employee kindly recommended to the 80 year old Lady in her fancy evening dress ...
The Bureau de Change of the Gare de l“Est .... at the other end of the city of Paris.
