Origin
In 1918, the Hotelier and casino business man François André is behind the development of La Baule as a Luxury Resort. In 1923 he bought the already existing Hotel Royal La Baule and the Casino. In 1926 he built the Hotel Hermitage La Baule. The Castle "Marie Louise", named after his wife Marie Louise Andre was his private summer residence in La Baule. He purchased the Edwardian Style House in 1926.
Opening of the Hotel
The Castel was converted into a Hotel open to the public in 1969.
